Bugs in program, wont work!

I purchased this $3.99 app hoping that it would work properly. However, after attempting to take photos of kanji to translate with this app, here are the following problems I encountered:

1. The program does not acknowledge any of the kanji I attempted to photograph. I live in Japan, so theres plenty of Kanji to choose from. I even tried photographing the simplest kanji (like the kanji for book and water), and it could not recognize.
2. After attempting to use this program about 5 times, now the app closes on me before I can even take a photo. I open the program, select "Take photo to translate", and as soon as the camera mode opens, the program closes and brings me to my iPhone home screen. There are no troubleshooting instructions that come with this program, so I have no idea what the problem is.

This was a complete waste of money and I want my $3.99 back. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS APP!!

I want to know if there are any other apps available that have a similar function (take a photo of kanji and translate) that work PROPERLY!
